Meetings are held on 1st Tuesday of each month
Two extremely good presentations and phenomenal food from Bojangles made our meeting a
real winner. With a focus on bait characteristics in the winter and examining certain fishing
methods as they relate to various lake levels, we were able to make some decisions on when
particular fishing techniques would be most productive. Member Derrick Danner provided
some excellent recommendations regarding boating safety.
February’s meeting was very special and unique. It’s our time to learn more about the health
of the fish, the existing number of fish, the recruitment rate for fry, the number of fry
placed in the Lake over the past years, and a whole lot more! Pat Snellings and Chris Looney
were on top of their game Tuesday evening! Every year our meeting with the DNR biologists
keeps us in touch with the Stripers and their future!
By the first week in March (hopefully before), we should see our primary fishing technique
change to trolling live bait with Flat Lines and In-Line Planer Boards. We’ll focus on this
subject at the March meeting. And, we hope to do something different for our evening meal!!!!!
